Blakemere’s annual Scarecrow Trail from Saturday October 19, to Thursday October 31, this year will be bigger and better than ever with dozens of colourful characters to spot and fantastic prizes to be won. Scarecrows will be created by the many shops and attractions at Blakemere and visitors are invited to come along and discover each one.
The trail will wind around Blakemere and along the A49 into Tarporley, stopping at other top Cheshire attractions along the way.
This year’s theme at Blakemere is classic children’s literature and each scarecrow will be dressed as a much-loved character from the world of books. There will also be a range of exciting pop-up events happening daily on site for all to enjoy.
The Blakemere Book Swap will be open daily in the red telephone box. Bring your old books along, pop in the box and swap them for a pre-loved new one.
Children’s author Geoff Bennett will also be dropping in for storytelling where families can be transported into another world with his beautiful stories.
Blakemere’s fantastic range of shopping, relaxation and fun activities will of course be on offer throughout including fashion, gifts, children’s clothing and toys, vintage inspired homeware and unique furniture sourced from around the globe. You will also find Cheshire Falconry, a children’s play barn, hair and beauty and much more.
